HongQi (Chinese for Red Flag) is the premiere division of the Chinese car maker FAW groups and during the Beijing Auto Show that presented very interesting concept, the HongQi SUV concept. It is quite surprising for a Chinese producer to come up with such a great looking concept, however, given the fact that the production version will not be available until at least 2010, we will have to wait and see before we make any other remarks.
The concept of the front fascia has an evolved version of Red Flag's signature grille with the addition of large vents and the car will be driven by the FAW advanced V12 engine, which also equip the HQE limousine. FAW is very proud of this engine, which has an advanced combustion system, complete lightweight aluminum design, optimized fuel economic efficiency and lower emissions. This engine will also provide the basis for a V6 and V8 engine to follow.
