Aston Martin DB 9 by Mansory

We couldn’t let this go by without writing
about it because these are two of our favorites companies, Aston Martin and
Mansory. The German tuner (responsable for some really cool programs 1 2 3 4) created a tuning program for the Aston
Martin DB9, both the Coupe and Cabrio versions. The body kit features new front
spoiler with daytime running lights, integrated fog lights and a matching lower
grille insert, side skirts with carbon-lined rear intakes, new carbon fiber
rear diffuser, plus chrome exhaust tips, aluminum trim, and matching carbon
taillight covers.

Handling and performance were improved by
using new Brembo brake package (405mm discs and six-piston callipers up front
and four-piston callipers in the rear), new lightweight forged 20 inch aluminum
wheels, new anodized aluminum air intakes and a suspension lowering kit with
sport performance springs.

Aston Martin DBS

The superb Aston Martin DBSisn’t even out yet on the market, and the tuning company Project Kahn designed a body kit for it, consisting of a front and rear bumper, side skirts and boot lip spoiler, supplying the DB9S with a ‘low to the road’ look. In order to supplement that look Project Kahn fitted a set of 20 inch Kahn RSV wheels, which were in fact featured on the Aston Martin DBS prototype.

The kit is available at Project Kahn for £6,699 ($13,400) including fitting but excluding VAT. A set of wheels will cost you £4,000 ($8,000).

Aston Martin DBS

Everyone who saw James Bond Casino Royale, noticed Daniel Craig’s friend, the Aston Martin DBS. Well, now our dream has come true (at least for those who can afford it), because Aston Martin officially announced the DBS. And of course, as expected, this will be a true dream car. Powered by a 6.0 liter V12 engine delivering 510 bhp and 570 Nm of torque the car goes from 0 to 100 km/h (60 mph) in just 4.3 seconds and to a top speed of 191mph (302km/h). Other features include carbon-fiber body panels (a premiere for Aston Martin), adaptive damper controlled suspension, optimized air intake system with ‘by-pass’ port, bonded aluminum inner body structure, carbon ceramic brakes, advanced refinish process with epoxy and glass beads and a 700W stereo system to just name a few.

The car will be offficially presented in September at the Frankfurt Motor Show, with production expected to start early 2008. Pricing is unknown so far, but rumours say it will come at around £130,000 (EUR 192,000).

This is somehow unexpected, but the Aston Martin DBS is definitely a super car, and I can’t wait to see it on the street, because it sure is a dream car.

Aston Martin Rapide and DBX

Only good news came recently from Aston Martin. I have to admit I’ve always been a fan of the British producer, because I always thought that is has more style and it had “that somethinhg” that Ferrari or Lamborghini never had. So I’m probably not being subjective at all, but I don’t care, I love these cars. So, let’s get back to what made me happy today. Aston Martin’s CEO Dr. Ulrich Bez announced that after next year’s launch of recently presented DBS, Aston Martin will focus on the development of the highly anticipated 4-doors coupe, the Rapide. Scheduled to be launched in 2010, the car will probably cost around $400,000.

And you though that’s all. No, no, no. After the DBS launch, the British producer will also start working on the DBX project, which will be the company’s new flagship. Dr. Bez said that the new car, which will probably be the successor of the Vanquish coupe, will arrive only after the Rapide and will probably cost even more.

Aston Martin Vantage RS

Aston Martin is preparing a special, more powerful, edition of the Vantage. The Aston Martin Vantage RS will be powered by the 600 hp V12 engine from the DBRS9 race car. The 6.0 liter engine, which delivers 375 horsepower per ton, takes the car from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.0 seconds and to 160 km/h (100 mph) in 8.5 seconds.
